Grangeville Elementary Middle School (GEMS) third grader Alyssa Prado had been growing her hair “all her life,” she said. That was until Friday, March 5, when Melissa Klapprich of Shear Magic cut nearly a foot of Prado’s long mane to donate to Locks of Love. Locks of Love makes real-hair wigs for cancer patients. Prado’s parents, Junior and Laura Prado of Grangeville, said their 9-year-old daughter has wanted to donate to the cause for quite a while.
